“Picking on Christians is cowardly”

Reupload from an old, deactivated account.

Picking on Christians- that is- to abuse, bully, insult, gang up on or persecute them for no other reason apart from your bigotry, disrespect and intolerance- is a selfish and, above all, COWARDLY act to do. Especially if you are ganging up on them- that’s one of the most cowardly things I can think of.

Why you might ask? Because you know full well that Christians are supposed to be kind, gentle and pacifistic (Matthew 5:38-42 and Galatians 5:22-23).

You also make non-Christians look bad, because then you appear very bigoted and judgmental indeed.

“Christians can’t fight back- that’s not very Christian. Christians are pacifists.”
...

Now, the funny thing about saying that is- you make atheists look bad. Why? Because you make atheists appear like they have no morals. Since it is “not Christian” to act in a certain way, which shows deep down inside, you see that kind of behaviour as being morally inappropriate, yet it isn’t “not atheist” to do and say those things. You’re making atheists look bad, so you’re actually shooting yourself in your own foot here.
Also, if you truly believe that Christians should not behave in those ways- by swearing and getting angry or violent (and indeed, I do not deem that to be Christian behaviour, but nobody is perfect, and I can’t judge), then you are making yourselves appear cowardly. Why? Because if you pick on those who you believe cannot, or will not, fight back (and there’s a difference between fighting back and defending yourself), then you might as well pick on a 5 year old, or a disabled person, and call yourself “tough”. In reality, it’s pitiful, since you are picking on people who cannot or will not defend themselves. And since you believe that Christians should not defend themselves (and you are sadly mistaken- since there’s a difference between “fighting back” and “defending oneself”), then to pick on a vulnerable, pacifistic people is a sign of true cowardice.
So this goes for all those people who think it’s “hardcore” to, for example, spit on a Bible, or blaspheme in a Church, or say “Jesus isn’t real” to a Christian’s face, or any of that crap you wish to vomit on someone you perceive to be defenceless.
I’m a pacifist. No, that does not make me a coward. I actually see violence as cowardly. Anyone can be violent. It’s easy. DEAD easy. It’s mostly done because you can’t control your anger, and can’t think to resort to anything else.

"Hey, let's pick on a load of Christians!"
"The other day, I tore a page out of a Christian girl's Bible!"
"I went into a Church and blashpemed!"
"I swore right in the face of a Christian!"
"Christians are such soft-minded wimps, hahaha!"
"I'm so badass in belittling a Christian."
"Yeah, omgosh like guys, a Christian got totally angry with me and swore!"
"OH MAH GERD :iconermahgerdplz: That's like so un-Christian!"
"Yeah, but it's totally okay for us to behave like this, because we're atheists"

Pathetic. :smoking:

As a Christian myself, I'd like to rephrase this: It is cowardly to pick on anybody.

Why is the stamp limited to just christians?
I haven't checked your gallery, but do you have one that admonishes christians who bully, abuse, insult, gang up on, and persecute others?

Isn't it cowardly to pick on anyone for that matter? To pick on the short, the tall, the skinny, the fat, the popular, the antisocial. Its cowardice to pick on someone we do not know of based on trivial things.

Don't worry, I'm fair to all religions. But picking on Judaism is so 100 years ago.

Yes, but it's not okay for Christians to pick on Atheists, or any other people from different beliefs. A lot of the time if someone doesn't believe in any kind of God and they want to express their opinions religious people ( mostly Christians ) will try to "convert" them. How do I know that? It's happened to me on many occasions.

In reality I think what this stamp should say is "Bullying is cowardly". I'm not going to say that all Atheists are saints, and perfect, and kind, but a lot of the time Atheists will shrug and say "Cool," if someone points out they do believe. Unless it turns into a huge debate.

And why is this aimed at Atheists? Not JUST Atheists pick on Christians.
